Expansion of Testing Scope to Include Dissolved Pulp Guidelines V1.0 and Recycled Polyester Guidelines V1.0

January 22, 2025

Update!

We are pleased to announce that ZDHC Approved Wastewater Laboratories can now expand their testing capabilities to include the Dissolved Pulp Guidelines V1.0 and the Recycled Polyester Guidelines V1.0*.

These services will be covered by your current wastewater approval contract and can be performed without additional review. Testing to the new guidelines will occur in two cycles: the first from November 2024 to April 2025, and the second from May 2025 to October 2025.

These two guidelines are integral to driving ZDHC’s mission of sustainable chemical and wastewater management; we are confident that your expertise will support this goal. However, to allow a broader geographic coverage, we seek additional laboratories capable of offering these services in regions with limited representation, including Canada, Sweden, South Africa, USA, Finland, and Chile. Increasing laboratory presence in these areas is crucial for meeting the growing demand and ensuring accessibility to all stakeholders in the supply chain, so we encourage you to explore opportunities to expand your services to these regions and collaborate with us to address this need. Should you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at support@zdhc.org.

We appreciate your continued dedication to advancing the ZDHC mission and look forward to your contributions to these expanded testing capabilities.

* Note: Initially, sampling activities for dissolved pulp and recycled polyester facilities will not be conducted using the On-site App.
