The application process for the ZDHC MMCF Module has concluded for the 2023 reporting year. Here are the key updates:

• Applications closed on August 23, 2023
• A total of 23 applications were received this year
• The application process for the 2024 reporting year is expected to reopen in October

Why it matters

The MMCF Module enables MMCF Suppliers to demonstrate advanced environmental management knowledge. Its objective is to:

1. Reduce wastewater pollution originating in the MMCF production process
2. Improve chemical recovery from input substances and by-products
3. Reduce air emission pollution originating in the MMCF production process

ZDHC and Canopy collaborate closely to guide and encourage continuous improvements for MMCF suppliers. To incorporate the sustainable chemical management efforts made by MMCF suppliers in the Hot Button Report, ZDHC has aligned the MMCF Guidelines with Canopy's Hot Button Report Criteria.
