The ZDHC Chemical Management System Capacity-Building in Industrial Parks in Ethiopia and Vietnam (IPEV) Project has been completed!

The IPEV project, funded by IDH's In Sustainable Textile and Apparel Parks (INSTEP) Program and sponsored by ZDHC Signatory Brands, aimed to build or improve sustainable chemical and wastewater management implementation in Industrial Parks and suppliers in Ethiopia and Vietnam.

The project included ZDHC Academy training sessions facilitated by BluWin. 

Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, the increased knowledge and awareness, as well as successful collaboration with local stakeholders has led to the development of an Industrial Park-level chemical management guidelines to be adopted by all Special Economic Zones (previously industrial parks) under the management of the Industrial Park Development Cooperation (IPDC). 

Vietnam

The project successfully delivered ZDHC Academy training sessions, equipping suppliers and Industrial Park representatives with essential knowledge on sustainable chemical and wastewater management. These sessions helped improve awareness, build technical capacity, and foster a commitment to best practices within the industry.
