Local Language Names

Effective 1st April 2025, the "Other Names" field within chemical product profiles will be renamed "Local Language Names".

The field’s functionality remains unchanged: its location within the product profile, visibility in Search results, and inclusion in the ChemCheck report will remain exactly the same.

This name change is designed to make the field's purpose clearer. We want to ensure it's used exclusively for local language alternatives of chemical product names.

• If applicable, formulators should use this field to add alternative names for products in relevant local languages.
• This field must not be used for any other descriptions, including commercial product names or other supplementary information.
• Each commercial product name must have its own product profile and a corresponding PID (Product ID).

We would also like to remind you that starting from 1 January 2025 your clients (suppliers or manufacturing facilities) only use PIDs for their InCheck reporting. 

We believe this update will enhance the platform's usability and ensure more accurate data. Please take note of this change and adjust your data entry practices accordingly.
