In 2024 the UNIDO Southern Africa project will start in 4 sub-saharan countries. To connect with project partners and discuss further opportunities in the region, ZDHC visited training providers in Ethiopia.
Together they engaged with GIZ, IDH, the ministry of Industry, UNIDO and several other organisations to look at the state of the Ethiopian industry, current challenges and the possibility for project alignment with partners across the region.
During the trip, Mariella Noto met with the Kenya Water Institute (KEWI). The institute is a semi-governmental organisation which conducts training, capacity building and wastewater testing in Kenya and surrounding countries. ZDHC and KEWI will work together in the coming months to develop new collaborations on the ZDHC Academy.
