Canopy Hot Button Report
In alignment with the ZDHC MMCF Implementation Approach V2.2, the Canopy Hot Button Report (2025 Edition) will introduce key updates in the Sustainable Chemical management Criteria.
For the 2025 edition, the Sustainable Chemical Management criteria will focus on:
- Viscose and modal production facilities that meet the Canopy C1 criteria, ensuring access to the ZDHC MMCF Module and achieving the Progressive Level across all areas (C2, C3, and C4).
- Expanding the scope to include viscose filament yarn (VFY), lyocell and acetate fibre production facilities, requiring them to meet the Canopy C1 criteria by securing access to the ZDHC MMCF Module on the ZDHC Supplier Platform.
ZDHC Pilot Assessments in 2025
Additionally, ZDHC will conduct pilot assessments for
- Viscose filament yarn (VFY)
- Lyocell
- Acetate
- Cupro fibre production facilities.
These assessments will help ZDHC to understand and adopt the MMCF Module requirements and prepare for 2026’s verified assessment based on the calendar year 2025 performance. Facilities are encouraged to provide any available internal or third-party test data for the pilot to familiarise themselves with the assessment process.
This step reinforces the industry’s commitment to responsible chemical management and environmental sustainability, ensuring a cleaner and safer MMCF production process.
