ZDHC enlarges its Contributor Base with three new organisations coming on board

Today, the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme welcomes three new companies as ZDHC Contributors and by doing so, brings the total number to 98.

ZDHC was founded in 2011 by six leading brands and today consists of 98 contributors, divided into three categories - 24 Signatory Brands, 59 Value Chain Affiliates and 15 Associates.

Joining the ZDHC Programme, the organisations commit to a strengthened commitment towards better chemical management practices and the adoption and implementation of ZDHC tools. These include, amongst others, the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines and the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL).

The ZDHC MRSL is a list of chemical substances that should be banned from intentional use by the industry in the production of textile, apparel, leather and footwear. Last month, ZDHC published the electronic version of the ZDHC MRSL - the ZDHC e-MRSL. With the ZDHC e-MRSL, users will be able to easily search for chemical substances, either by using the name of the substance or the CAS number.

The new contributors all join in the Value Chain Affiliate category in the following sub-categories:
