ZDHC Accredits Nine New Training Providers as Growth of the ZDHC Academy Accelerates
07/15/2019
Nine new organisations have been accredited as ZDHC training providers. They will offer Chemical Management Training via the ZDHC Academy. Launched in 2017, ZDHC certified training is now available in 18 regions and over 150 trainings have been delivered.
The ZDHC Academy delivers Chemical Management Training to all key textile, apparel, footwear and leather sourcing and trading regions. Additional training providers were sought to meet a growing demand for ZDHC certified trainings and to expand their availability worldwide. A second accreditation round was run in 2018 to increase the base of Accredited Training Providers as part of meeting this rapid growth in demand. The following Accredited Service Providers now offer ZDHC certified training sessions worldwide: Bureau Veritas, CEDFEM Engineering LLC, Centro Tessile Serico, Centrocot, GSM Global Sustainable Management GmbH, Panta Rei Water Solution, Suzhou DOBE Environmental Technical Service, TÜV Süd and UNIC.
Growing the pool of Accredited Training Providers from 7 to 16 highly qualified, specialised training organisations also supports the launch of additional training courses. Recently, the ZDHC Wastewater Management Training was added to the curriculum. A two-day Chemical Management Training for Leather Tanneries will also be launched.
Mariella Noto, Implementation Senior Manager at ZDHC comments: “We are delighted to welcome our newest ZDHC Accredited Training Providers, and to significantly increase the global availability of ZDHC certified chemical management training. The imminent launch of a ZDHC Chemical Management Tannery Training is another exciting development. It will further support the implementation of Chemical Management Systems within the leather industry.”
