On 29th February, ZDHC Academy Director Mariella Noto took part in a panel session during The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
During the panel discussion “Accelerating the implementation of the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC)- for a Planet Free of Harm from Chemicals and Waste '' Mariella showcased how an industry organisation can implement sustainable chemical management practices at scale, training industry professionals with support for continuous improvement. She also addressed the importance of capacity building and the need for practical solutions to implementation challenges.
In addition, Mariella represented ZDHC as an interim board member of the Gender and Chemicals Partnership. During the UNEA-6, a resolution was accepted for “Mainstreaming a Gender Perspective and Promoting Gender Equality and Empowerment of All Women and Girls in Chemicals and Waste Management.” as part of the GFC.
