The ZDHC Foundation proudly announces the appointment of Marcelo Lobo as the Country Manager for Brazil.
In an exciting development for sustainable chemical management in Brazil's fashion and footwear sectors, the ZDHC Foundation proudly announces the appointment of Marcelo Lobo as the Country Manager for Brazil. This announcement aligns with the recent launch of the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme in São Paulo, an event attended by over 130 industry stakeholders, showcasing the promising support for sustainable practices within the region.
Marcelo Lobo steps into this role equipped with a three-decade tenure in the textile industry, an extensive background in chemical engineering and quality technology, and a deep-seated commitment to environmental sustainability. His expertise spans private-label production, the chemical sector and retail, all underpinned by a steadfast dedication to sustainable feedstock and the principles of Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certifications. Lobo's role is pivotal in advancing ZDHC's mission to implement sustainable chemical management practices across the fashion industry, leveraging his rich industry knowledge and passion for sustainability.
The ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme aims to revolutionise the industry's approach to hazardous chemicals, focusing on prevention at the source rather than mere compliance with consumer protection laws. This initiative seeks to shift the industry paradigm, ensuring a safer, more sustainable future.
